Pairings on the Patio

Opolo Wines, LP is looking for an experienced Line and Prep Cook to support our Pairings on the Patio. The Line and Prep Cook will be responsible for ensuring all food items are properly prepared. This position assists in the preparation, cooking and/or serving of food daily as well as during special and private events as needed.

Job Type: Part time
Compensation: $18 – $20 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience, plus tips.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare all menu items according to recipes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure food comes out in high quality and a timely fashion.
• Ensure all goods and tools are stored properly.
• Informs supervisor when ingredient stock is low or if kitchen items/tools are not working.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
• Complete Food Handler training to obtain a California Food Handler Card.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Work within a team to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Part time (30 hours) with potential full time (40 hours) schedule to include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly (case of wine).
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (8 hours per day).
• Regular working schedule to include weekends and holidays.
• Availability for extended hours during peak seasons and/or special events.
• Maintain a clean work environment by washing wine glasses and/or dishes.
• Consent to a mostly outdoor work environment subject to very hot or cold conditions at times.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills including excellent customer service.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
