There is no doubt that Opolo’s 2021 vintage wines are a smash hit with top wine critics!
It all started with the incredible scores for our 2021 Summit Creek Zinfandel and 2021 Summit Creek Cabernet Sauvignon, our two flagship retail wines.
Now come some huge ratings for our 2021 collection of estate and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignons, advancing our reputation for crafting premier Bordeaux-style wines from Paso Robles.
Our estate 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles has earned 91 points from Wine Enthusiast as well as 93 points from The Tasting Panel magazine. Executive Editor Meridith May of The Tasting Panel praised the wine for “a richness that gains finesse as it continues to evolve in the glass.”
Meanwhile, our 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Willow Creek District earned 95 points from The Tasting Panel and 93 points from Wine Enthusiast. May wrote that this wine offers “intense notes of blackberry and dark chocolate that wash over the palate.”
Finally, our 2021 Rhapsody Reserve Willow Creek District, a Bordeaux-style blend, racked up 93 points with a Cellar Selection designation from Wine Enthusiast, as well as 94 points from The Tasting Panel. May writes, “Feathered notes of violets and bittersweet dark chocolate show strength and texture, succumbing to a round body and toasted oak finish.”
Kudos to our winemaking team for making the most of banner vintage here in Paso Robles.
